The Romanian music of the 90s is undoubtedly marked by an anti-heroic personality: Adrian Pleșca – ARTAN.

 From the Hamletian dilemma of the light bulb and the world seen through the eyes of placid sheep, to the parody of consumption in Fata mea, Artan perfectly grafted his music on that mal du siècle lived in disillusioned and melancholic Romania, on the border between two ages and worlds. Timpuri Noi and Partizan had a decisive contribution in placing Artan on an "iconic" podium of Romanian music.
